After getting off a cruise in early June, my wife and I will have three nights before flying back from Rome. We will be renting a car at the port. Are there some worthwhile towns/places to visit fairly close to Civitavecchia? We are looking for options west of Orvieto and Civita, and south of Montalcino and Pienza. We enjoy touristy things if they are worthwhile, but also enjoy going to towns that few tourists go to, and just looking around.
