Hiking trail recommendations for Seiser Alm/Alpe di Susi

We'll be in the Dolomites in late Sept and are looking for recommendations for a nice hike up on the Seiser Alm. Unfortunately we can't pack hiking boots so its going to have to be more something that we can do in sneakers. We're in great shape so something strenuous is OK, but what we're after most of all is fantastic views and a great "experience" of the area. Any suggestions as to trails etc. Also is there any site where I can download a high res map that shows the trails? Everything that I've found is really hard to read.

The hike up to Rifugio Bolzano is one of my favorites (and we hike a lot so that's strong praise). The views up there are great and you can ascend the little peak for even better ones. I don't recall the trail being particularly rugged or rocky; trainers or running shoes should be fine. When we were there we saw Haflinger horses (mares and foals) that had been turned out to pasture[INVALID]-I have my picture with one very friendly one. I don't know of a website with a good high-res map. I'd suggest buying on from a map store or Amazon or something. Another nice hike up there, if you want more than one, is at the end of the Alpe, from Saltria. You can circle both Sasso Longo and Sasso Piatto, or just one using the lift that takes you up to the valley between them from Passo Gardena. We did it that way as we were running out of time. Both of these hikes are in Rick's book. And while I don't usually regard him as an expert on hikes, in this case he is spot on.
