Hiking in Umbria

We hiked Spello to Collepino last September. Very nice hike. Cute bar at the top where you can revive yourself. Bring water though as it can be hot and the last uphill portion is a slog.

I've had this one ner Spoleto on my list but haven't made it back to the area. Rebecca Winke of Brigolante did a nice blog about it here. Take a look around her blog for other ideas.

There's the Sentiero Francescano della Pace, which goes from Assisi to Gubbio and passes right near where I live in Valfabbrica. You can walk any, or all, of the stages. The trail is well-marked and it's a variety of footpaths, gravel roads (strade bianche) and, when necessary, country roads.
