Is there a guide to trails on the Amalfi coast? We have 4 days in late March, based in Sorrento, and enjoy hiking, however, can't find anything that doesn't hug the roads, which doesn't sound like fun to us. Plan to bus to Amalfi, and then hike back to Positano or up the ridge, and bus to Sorrento from there.Do I go to the Tourist office in Amalfi and ask, or are trails marked, like they are in the US? This is a highly regarded book showing walks in the area, plenty of off-road paths, you will be spoilt for choice. Available from Amazon or when you get there, seen it in Sorrento bookshops. Used to do lots of walks before OH's health limited us a bit. Mind you even then I'm afraid we caught a bus to the highest spot and walked down! Capri also has some good walks with wonderful views, free maps available from the Tourist Info at the harbour.
