Hiking in April near Castelrotto

I am considering whether to travel to Castelrotto the last week of April, and I will have a car. My question is whether the hiking paths

at Alpe di Suiusi will be clear of snow then and if the access road from Castelrotto will be open. I love to hike in the immediate area from

Compatsch but have never been there that early so don't know what to expect for weather and trail conditions. Thanks for any info!

Hi John,
Though roads to Castelrotto would be open, April is very early for trails to be snow-free at that 5,000'+ elevation, usually the off-season between skiing and hiking. But everything is dependent on the year. I would check the website at www.seiseralm.it, and e-mail them at [email protected] to see what they would expect for this year.
