Hiking Amalfi Options

We are leaving in two weeks and I have somehow lost my word document with all my options. I have put together best I can recall. We are 4 nights in an Apt a few min walk from marina grande in Amalfi town and have two days to explore, we have a boat trip and cook class on other days. Sept 7-11, mid-fifties, are good with walking as the buses seem too crowded. We thought we would explore Ravello one day and Positano the other with hikes. After our stay here we go to Capri for 2 nights and 2 in Sorrento.

Day 1 Walk up to the paper musuem, on through Pontone, stop to explore and then Villa Rufolo and exploring Ravelo maybe lunch somewhere then to Villa Cimbrone, off to Santa Maria della Grazie to avoid roads to get to Minori and then back to Amalfi. I know that is a lot of walking but when I put it in maps it looks like about 2 3/4 hours to Minori. We would take the full day and stop at all the places. Does this make sense and is pretty walk? Looking for food options along way too. If too tired maybe taxi back to Atrani-Amalfi or walk extra hour but not sure if it is all on road. I would think we would spend 7-8 hours or more which is fine. Open to ideas as we have not been here before.

Day 2 The goal here is Path of Gods, Beach Il Fornino and explore Positano. So many options how to do this. Maybe very first bus (time?) to Bomerano for breakfast and then hike Path of Gods stopping in Nocelle and taxi to Fornillo Beach to avoid some 1800 steps. After Fornillo Beach we set off to explore Positano town and ferry back to Amalfi, last ferry looks like 740? Again open to ideas,

Thanks so much, I am still looking for my notes:)

It has been more than 5 years since we were in Amalfi so keep that in mind.

  1. We took bus to Ravello and walked back. We were in our 50s at the time. A different day we walked past the paper museum and then to a town I don’t remember. We had planned to take a bus back but ended up walking down many steps because it was Sunday and the town was pretty sleepy. We couldn’t find the bus or any help. Amalfi is lively enough on a Sunday but other smaller towns are not.

I think you are being optimistic about what you are proposing here.
3. We did the Path of the Gods the way you describe EXCEPT there was at the time a convenience store as trail ended where we bought bus tickets. We took the bus down to Positano and then walked to the beach area and took a ferry back to Amalfi. I never saw any taxis so unless you know differently, I would not count on that.
