High Speed Train schedule release

Good morning or afternoon - I will be booking a high speed rail from Venice to Milan. I've noticed both italo and Trenitalia have their high spped schedules up for July through the 27th. We will be heading out in mid August from Venice to Milan. Is anyone familiar on the timing of their dates to drop the schedules for booking for August?

thanks and much appreciated

Try www.TheTrainline.com. Trainline is contracted with both Trenitalia and Italotreno to sell their tickets and has some August tix on sale now.

The schedule hasn't been released, but it likely won't change by more than few minutes. Train tickets are typically released about 3-4 months in advance, but August is often released later since that's when most Italians go on holiday. I'd keep checking regularly but don't expect anything to be bookable until May or June.

@kenko yeah the do have the regional schedule up for August but not the high speeds yet, So I'll just keep checking in and just will have to be patient.

thanks to you both.

@jeff thanks, hopefully it'll be sooner I have few people in my party that I'm afraid won't have that patience and they'll end up booking sooner when the current schedule has going from Venice to Como via Milan at over 5 hours plus a couple of changes , one in which has only a 5 mins time period before the connecting train departs. I can foresee that being a domino affect of waiting around for next trains and turning an already long morning into a nightmare. but fingers crossed.

thanks again.

Official date of release is Saturday June 14 at midnight.
Italotreno is not bound by that date. Trenitalia is because it is the government-run train company.
