high speed rail from florence to naples

hello all of you wonderful travelers who have been so kindly responding to my questions! we are taking the high speed rail from florence to naples in may and are wondering if there is indeed a need to transfer in rome or if the train only stops there in route to naples? i would register with the trenitalia.com site to find more answers but it seems they don't offer much privacy online there. thank you so much!

paula, On that particular route, many of the trains stop at Roma Termini for about 15 minutes, but there's no need to transfer. As the others have mentioned, there's no need to Register just to check schedules. On that particular route, you could also travel on the new Italo high speed trains. Travel time is a bit quicker than with Trenitalia (possibly because they don't stop in Rome?). Happy travels!

Paula, there is no need to register to check the schedules.

Also, if only checking schedules you can use bahn.de which, sometimes, is a little easier to use and understand.

Italy treno is quicker because it doesn't go to Termini station, a dead end terminus, rather it stops at Tiburtina station. In the future all high speed trains not ending the run in Rome will use Tiburtina.
