Looking for current advice on where to return our rental car at the Florence airport.

3 Hertz locations in Florence. Map them in Google Maps:
Via del Palagio degli Spini (Airport - Across the freeway from the terminal)
Via del Sansovino 53 (West of city center, on the southern side of the river Arno)
Via Borgo Ognissanti 137 Red (in the city center).
If you want to return to the airport, that is the first location above. If you come from the A11 freeway, at the end of the freeway you turn right on via Piantanida, sort of U turn, drive parallel to the elevated railway above, then enter to the right (under the elevated railway) into the rental car return center.
