Renting a car in Siena ,Viale Europa, 37 and wondering about dropping the car off at the after hours using the key drop box. Has anyone had any experience doing this at this location or issues in general using va key drop box in Italy.

I have done this, but not with Hertz. There was no trouble at all.

We have used the key drop box in other locations, and the majority of the time it has been fine. Once in Italy, the company tried to charge us for "damages" that they claimed were not on the car before our rental. Be hyper vigilant when you pick up the car, and make sure every scratch, dent, etc. is documented. Take your own photos of the car while you are there with the rental agent.

I've only done it in Granada Spain and it worked out fine. There was a code to get into the garage, park and drop off the keys.
Be sure to review the drop off conditions and process details when you pick it up.
