Salutations:
March 1st, 2020, Because of COVID, I had to cancel a 60-day trip to Florence - followed by thirty days in the Cotswolds in England.
Two years of Planning down the drain. (BTW - 100% of all prepaid expenditures were returned with only slight penalty fees.)
I am tired of waiting. Leaving for Florence April 12th for a week - working my way North on no particular schedule.
Rome, Zermatt, Switzerland, England.
We stay in Monasteries where we can - and AB&B's otherwise.
Three questions:
1. Anyone know what we might expect making this trip COVID related?
2. What type of inner-city transportation is available. Taxi's? Uber?
3. Day trip you would recommend after taking in the available sites in the city?
Thanking you in advance for any consideration you my give this request, I am,
Sincerely,
Calvin Williams
- For now you must show a CDC card to make almost everything. Wearing a mask is mandatory in shops, restaurants, museums and even outside in crowded situations.
- Buses, trams, metro (Rome), cabs, Uber Black (Rome). Like all over the world
- From Florence? Siena, Lucca and Pisa.

Rome is south of Florence.
Thankyou Dario. EXACTLY what I was looking for. :-)
Of course it is. They don't call me "Magellan" for nothing. :-)
