Thank you for sharing this article. I can only wonder what other treasures are still buried around Rome and other ancient cities in Italy.

In 1976, I was in Pompeii hearing about the wonderful finds in Herculaneum which was not open to the tourists at that time. I remember wishing I could see it. 2002, I did see both sites and Herculaneum was my preferred of the two. Due to the different damage during the explosion, things are visible at Herculaneum in a better state than Pompeii. It just doesn't disappoint.
