Helpful Italian news or festivals sources

Hi everyone, I’m in the Atlanta airport right now waiting for my daughter & my flight for Venice. As I’m catching up on emails, I thought this might be helpful for those traveling to Italy.

I subscribed to an English language on-line Italian newspaper this Spring (the local.it) geared towards expats. I thought it would help me keep track of the latest news that might affect my trips, and it’s been helpful. And today it gave info about upcoming September food festivals. We may go to 1-2 if it’s handy to our plans.

Do you have any Italian local sources that you use for current news, events or festivals that you find helpful?

Jean - I don't have any sources for you but just wanted to say that I hope you and your daughter have a fabulous time in Italy (though it's Italy - how could you help it?!?).

Jean, I unfortunately do not have any advice but just want to pipe up and wish you a fun, safe and fabulous trip! You’ve been so helpful with some of my travel questions and just want to say hello and wish you the best! Hope you have a great trip!

Thank you, Janet, SJ, and Lisa G! And thank you, SJ, for those additional source ideas - appreciate it!

SJ, the flights were all fine and on-time for the solid schedule we had for the last two months. Sometimes Delta changes them those last months. We did carry on suitcases, so no issues. But watch out for your head! Two times someone almost whacked me in the face while they were moving their suitcase into the overhead with a big arm swing arc - whew!

Hi Jean!
I just want to wish you, and your daughter, a very memorable trip!

Remember what Zoe said to you;

Italy wants to feed you!

Eat lots pasta, pizza, and gelato for me!

Priscilla, Zoe had great advice! 😉. I remember that comment still when I’m on solo trips.

My daughter already loves Venice!
