Lastly, it cost us less (even with the train fare) to fly out of Innsbruck than our ot any northern Italian city! We flew into Venice. Besides, the train over the Brenner Pass is pretty scenic, and the flight out of Innsbruck is spectacular -even for those of us who live in the mountains!

Yes, Tracy, those Alps are really something, aren't they--even for someone from Aspen! A different look than the Colorado Rockies: lots more glaciers in the Alps than in the Colorado Rockies.
