Help with Venice Airport to Train Station

I arrive by air in Venice and need to catch a train to Florence. I know Venice has two train stations but am having a hard time understanding which station I need to go to in order to catch a train to Florence.

Anybody have any experience with getting from Marco Polo airport to the correct train station in Venice to get to Florence?

Ve.(Venice)Mestre. It is on the mainland. Ve. SL (Venice) Santa Lucia is in Venice proper. Take a taxi, or bus from the airport to the Ve. Mestre train station.
