Help with Tuscany stay

We will be in Italy for most of April. We will have a car. Our 40th anniversary is the 23rd and I did not allow that this is during the Easter holidays. Desperately looking for a three or four night stay at a family run Agriturismo or family stay. Would like a place with cooking classes or assisted meals. Something like what is shown on Rick's shows. Conversation, social atmosphere.

We also just found out our B&B south of Florence will not be available due to illness with owner. We had originally booked April 9 to 16. In Florence we would like something with parking and away from the crowds but close enough so we can walk/bus to old city. We are walkers and can easily cover 10 km. in a day.

Not being lazy about this as we have pounded the keys trying to find what we want and are coming up empty.

Thanks in advance for any answers or steering to the right pages.

This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but we loved our stay at Castillo di Verrazzano, which is just a mile or two north of Greve. They are reasonable. You can email them to check availability. I don't know about the social atmosphere, because we were the only guests the entire week!

Their breakfast is wonderful. Be sure to do their winery tour and wine tasting combo.

They don't offer cooking classes, but there are classes available in Greve, including at La Cantina.

Not much help, but would just add given how close your dates are I would look into splitting up the stay times for better availability.
For example for Florence, just outside of town the place I was going to recommend has availability for the first 3 nights you need so then would need another place for the balance which might be easier to find than a full week available.

My take on agristurismo's was that they are not for me or our family, I would much prefer to stay in a small town than in the middle of no where on a farm with nothing within walking distance especially if into social atmosphere. This is my opinion only.

Yeah, the agriturismo might not be exactly what we are looking for. Like I said, kind of looking for a place with lots of local contact. I know it is not likely to achieve something like Rick Steve's social dinners, but that is kind of what I was hoping for on our 40th anniversary. We have found and booked an airbnb from the 9th through the 15th at a reasonable cost. Gives me more money to spend elsewhere but now leaves me a Saturday night arrival to deal with. Still banging keys looking for the perfect stay. Since we have mobility and time, I might look farther afield maybe Naples. Thanks for the advice.
