Help With Malta

Hi all,
I earlier posted that we'll be coming off of 6 weeks of travel in Italy and would like to end in Malta as part of our independent travels. My husband and I like to wander streets, shop, people watch, eat and absorb the culture. While we appreciate history, museums and historic sites (we understand all of Malta is a museum) it isn't a major draw for us. For those who have been to Malta---what is staying in Valletta like, how many days would you recommend staying, and/or where else would you suggest we stay in Malta?
We will be there in November, 2021 (fingers crossed). Thanks in advance.

No offense to anyone form Malta, but if I did not care much for history, I would not go to the trouble to get to Malta when there are plenty of other places. There is plenty of natural beauty (the entire tiny island of Comino, the cliffs of Malta, the orange beach on Gozo), but you might not be able to enjoy that in November, and it is just that there is plenty of that elsewhere with better food.
I enjoyed staying in Valletta, an atmospheric little town, and greatly enjoyed the neolithic temples. We also enjoyed walking across Gozo.

I stayed in Valletta for a week. Apparently a whole week there is not that common since the hotel staff commented on it. I loved my week in Malta but it was in July, not sure it would be as good in November as some of the things I enjoyed the most were boat rides around the islands. But there was plenty to see in Valletta itself. For November in Europe though I usually pick a fairly large city since weather is usually an issue.

I spent 3.5 days in Valletta in early May 2019 and really enjoyed my time there. It's VERY hilly and there's definitely a lot of WWII sights. But even discounting those, there's still plenty to see on the island, and I easily filled my time and could probably have used another day or two, especially if I wanted to slow down a little. I'm not sure how open for tourism the other islands would be in November, but I'd definitely check out one of the others if you were looking to spend more than just a few days in Malta.
