Hello. Travelling to Italy in May for one month. We have four days in Venice, then four days around Lake Como, from there onto Cinque Terre for three (has anyone stayed at Villa Edera in Manarola) then onto Florence, looking at staying at Pensione Bencista in Fiesole for three days. After that we will hire a car and either stay at Montepulciano for seven days or drive around Tuscany staying at different b & bs. Then either onto Rome for seven days or Sorrento for two, Rome five.
Maybe too many questions here but would be grateful for comments. Thanks Carol
If you really have seven in Rome not including day of return, do 3 in Sorrento (including Pompeii and Amalfi) and 4 in Rome.
This looks like a great plan. So many on this site stuff so much into short stays. Your itinerary looks great. I agree with the above to possibly reduce the visit to Rome in favor of more time in Sorrento and the Amalfi Coast.
Thank you. I have decided on what will work out to three and a half days in Rome and three in perhaps Sorrento. Will look at planning Rome well, utilizing the time we have. The time distance from Australia is such that you have to make good use of your stay. As this is our first time to Italy I hope when we return we will stay two weeks in a villa in one area and then perhaps two weeks in Sicily. And of course return to favourites. Caz
