Visiting Cinque Terre March 12-15 looking for help with must see sights after CT. Staying in Pisa March 19 and back to Boston 20th
This is probably not what you want to hear, but March can be miserable in the CT. If it's raining, the trails can be closed, and if it isn't sunny, it isn't scenic. Even if the weather's fine when you're there, if there's been a lot of rain, some of the trails could be closed anyway.
Tuscany offers good wine and food and some lovely old towns, San Gimignano, Siena, Lucca, and of course there's Florence with wonderful art and architecture. Both Siena and Florence are good bases to visit the other towns by bus or train.
Thank you for your reply. And yes I have heard it's not the best time to visit Cinque Terre but we are going to take a chance and it's only a few nights out of our 11 day trip. Florence will probably be a next stop after CT before departing from Pisa.
