Help with Heart Of Rome Walk.

Hi Guys, I will be in Rome for 7days in April. Im planning on taking my wife for the Heart Of Rome Walk, around the morning to afternoon time before we renew our wedding vows in the evening (6pm). I was thinking linking Gianicolo Hill with the Hear of Rome alk. By taking the bus up Gianicolo hill, then walking down and somehow cut through Trastevere, and linking it with the Heart of Rome Walk. Is this possible? If so how long would it roughly take? Thanks.

There is a wonderful walking guide to Rome called "24 Great Walks in Rome." One of my favorities is the hike up the Gianicolo. We walked both ways from the river in Trastevere, took our time poking around, and I think spent about 2 to 2.5 hours doing so. You certainly can take a bus one way or the other, and the book details which busses serve the area. Lovely views! When you say "Heart of Rome Walk," do you mean the Campo dei Fiori/Pantheon/Piazza Navona area? In seven days in the city, depending on where you are staying, you'll probably traverse this areas multiple times. It's nice to see the difference between early morning and evening in this area, especially CDF. You certainly can link the two, with a short walk through the Ghetto (also interesting!) and across the Tiber.
