As long as you’re seeing the Ponte Vecchio and oltrarno on Day/Night 1, head two bridges downriver, to the north, and see the Ponte Alla Carraia. The Gelateria La Carrara, at the oltrarno (west) end of the bridge, is our favorite gelateria in Italy.

Not sure about the Best of Florence with David and the Duomo?

Are you going to Accademia Museum where "David" is located? If you are, it will take 2-3 hours to go through that museum alone.

Going inside the Duomo and walking the dome or tower will take some time as well, so I suspect that you will not see the Duomo and Accademia very well in three hours. Are you planning to see the Bapistry?

Also, the Uffizi Gallery will take a couple of hours as well.

Okay I have added Monastery Museum of Saint Marco, Piazzale Michelangelo and thank you for the dining suggestion. I should have mentioned that we are leaving Florence Sunday AM for 2 nights in Sienna.

The Gelato recommendation for Thursday is also appreciated.

The Walks of Italy tour does not have us going inside the Duomo so we could add that to Saturday PM if we decide we want to. We will be going in to Accademia Gallery.

I'm sure we will find plenty of other stuff to do once we get there. thanks everyone

May I ask where you are staying as I will be in Florence in June.
Thank you kindly. I lived in Piazza Santo Stefano years back and was hoping to stay with my Signora, but am waiting to hear back from her.
