Hello..we are going to Italy next April and would like a week on the beach between visiting Venice and Florence..can some one give us some advice on where to go? Not a huge town but so where on a train line as we will be travelling Italy by train...thank you in advance

Why not just stay in Lido beach ? While we stayed near St marks for sightseeing, my dad did take the vaporetto to Lidao and had a delightful day.

I would not stick to the Adriatic coast, as the train can get you along the other coast, and may in fact be more convenient.
It depends what you mean by beach--do you just want to be by the sea, or do you want sand/swimming/etc.?
April is not beach season or sometimes even beach weather, so I would make sure to pick a town with other pleasant things to do.
Most places between Genoa and Livorno would be nice.

Hello...I just want to be near the sea...for walking paddling ( I'm from Scotland paddling is ok in freezing weather ) so just somewhere nice to relax in a lovely hotel with good food and wine...
