We are looking to spend a day visiting wineries in the Tuscany area. Most of the tours I have been able to locate seem to only go to one winery. We don't want to rent a car. Any suggestions on tours that are out there that are reasonably priced and go to a few wineries? Is it possible to reach wineries by any public transportation?
thanks!
You may want to go to the little town Greve in Chianti, where there is a winery co-op tasting room that provides tastings of about 150 different wines all in one place. We loved that we could sample so many wines from so many wineries in one place. Truly one-stop shopping. You get a debit card with whatever amount you want to put on it, insert it in one of several kiosks, and choose 1-ounce pours. They have bread, cheese and salami plates and when we were there the employees were friendly and helpful.
