My husband and I are going to a wedding in mid-April and staying for 5 extra days after. We are flying to Rome from USA and coming back from Venice.
I'd like suggestions to visit Naples, Almafi Coast, and one night in Venice. I don't have anything specific in mind to see but I like to make the best out of it. I know it's not much time to see everything, but we can't stay longer.

Where is the wedding and how many nights on the ground in total? What is your overall itinerary and have you been to Italy before and if yes, where?
The wedding is in Pienza on saturday, we arrived the day before the wedding and plan to leave on Sunday to explore south Italy. Our flight back to US is the Friday, so 5 nights after the wedding.
My husband and I have been in Rome before but haven't visited anything outside of it.
Can you depart from Naples?
With just 5 days you barely have time for Naples and AC
Is that 5 nights? If so that is really just 4 full days
It will take most of the day to get to Amalfi from Pienza
How will you get to and from Pienza?
Pienza has no train access
From AC will take basically a full day to get all the way to Venice
You could take train from Chiusi to Salerno - change in Rome
Stay in Salerno 3 nights-visit AC towns by ferry, bus or private driver on 1 day, visit Paestum on the other
Then train to Venice for 2 nights -there are direct fast trains from Salerno-6-7 hour journey
Figure out your transportation to VCE for departure-what time is flight?
I don’t see time for Naples, AC and Venice
You will be spending so much time on trains
