Help, our first choice in Vernazza was overbooked

I don't want to even mention who we were working with because they have such rave reviews. This was merely a miscommunication between spouses. Two delightful people who have bent over backwards to apologize to me!

Anyway, our first choice in Vernazza had a view. We thought this would be nice in case of rain and also to go home to in the evening. Our preteen son is coming with us, so he could relax his way with a book, we could watch the view have a little wine. Bliss..

So, now, we're looking for the same. Arriving on March 14th leaving the 16th after we hit the market in the morning. We thought that in March, if it's rainy, we could still at least gaze out at the view.

Any suggestions? I feel like I did this search so long ago that I could see myself in the room that I "booked".

Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth,

I haven't been to Vernazza, so I can't make any recommendations for a room.

However, I just wanted to throw in my two cents worth of experience in Italy. Almost nothing went as I planned or envisioned it. I chose to roll with it, get lost, not travel according to my set itinerary and was able to have a blast! If I had not been able to do that, the trip would have been ruined.

I'm not sure if you have been to Italy before, but part of the entire experience of being there is throwing your plans out the window (or at least being willing to do so if something else presents itself).

Good luck finding a room!

Thanks for your response.

I'm a huge roll with it traveler. Just wanted to clarify that. Sorry if I communicated otherwise.

Hi Liz - After being in Cinque Terre many times I would highly recommend -

Carla has a great location right on the Harbor next to Al Castello. Check out her website - I think you would love it!

Ciao, Greg
