3 bedrooms seem to be hard to find. Does anyone have any experience renting a home/apartment/villa in Sorrento, and has anyone stayed anyplace they would recommend? Thanks so much! Happy travels!

It's a hotel, but La Tonnarella has a wonderful 3 bedroom air conditioned suite, with 2 bathrooms, 2 balconies with stunning views, a great restaurant, and a private beach. It's Room 25. If you want more details, just let me know.

If you have a car, consider staying outside Sorrento. I rented a villa in Nerano which had a nice beach, popular with locals and a few restaurants on the water. After spending the whole day fighting fellow tourists in Sorrento, Positano, Pompeii, Naples, etc etc...our private villa felt like an oasis away from the crowds and noise.
If you don't have a car, perhaps research coastal towns with easy transportation to Sorrento.

For follow up information: We are not really interested in renting a car. We plan to see Pompeii, Mt. Vesuvius, go to Sicily and Capri and hire a car for the Coast drive, and hopefully some time inbetween all that find time to relax! We'd like to be in Sorrento because it is a bigger town and we like to walk around and try to experience regular life--hit small cafes and bars, shop with the local people, etc. We will be in Sorrento from October 3-10. Thanks for the helpful tips so far!

Although not 3 bedroom this place has 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartments with a bed settee in the living room. Can't give a recommendation yet because our stay isn't till October! But we did stay there 15 years ago and the location, on the route from the town centre to the fishing harbour (Marina Grande), is still the same and is what persuaded us to have a return visit. Away from the traffic but about a 5 minute stroll to the old part of town and about 10 minutes to Piazza Tasso. Small grocery shop nearby for collecting fresh bread for breakfast.

Villa Pane, we had a wonderful stay.
You will love the experience and they have total of 11 rooms, I am sure if you try you will get 3 bedrooms, very family friendly, they have pool...
