My husband and I are taking our first trip to Italy in April and Prague and are seeking advice on where to stay. We prefer clean places under $175 a night and would like to get recommendations from others. We will be in Prague, Venice, Florence/Siena, CT and Rome. Thank you!
We were in Prague a few years ago and liked the Green Garden Hotel. It was very quiet and moderately priced. Not sure what they are charging these days, but they did have a website. It was about 4 blocks walk to a good street for catching transportation. We didn't mind the walk. Breakfast was ample and reasonably varied, for European fare (not just coffee and bread). The desk staff were helpful also.
We have used the Aberdeen, Sonya and Contilia in Rome. All very good and close to that price range. Thought the Sonya had the best breakfast. PS -- Does anyone prefer dirty places over 175 ???? :-).
Hi Kelly,
There have been many great recommendations for hotels on this site for each of the cities that you listed. You can "Search" in the box on the top right hand corner of this screen. Also, I've stayed in many of the hotels that Rick Steves suggests in his books and have found that they meet the criteria that you describe. You can get Rick's books at most libraries to do your research and then decide which books you want to buy. Have a great trip!
