Help! Italy in November

The last week in November 2023 I will be at an air bnb in Florence before hopping on a cruise.
From Florence, we would like to take the train to day trip at different cities but am overwhelmed with all the amazing choices! We would like to see Bologna, Venice, Milan, hot springs in Tuscany, the Dolomites, & Cinque Terre. The cruise will stop at Livorno, Rome, & Naples so I don't need those spots included.
I know it's not possible to visit them all, but can I please get suggestions on which cities are a MUST and worth a visit in November?
In summary:
We are an active family of 4.
2 teen boys.
1 week stay in Florence.
Last week in November.
Need recs for day trips from Florence.
Thanks!

For potential day trips from Florence, I think you’d want to consider places that are smaller and closer by than the cities you’ve mentioned - I’m thinking of Siena and Lucca, for instance. There is so much to see in Florence itself that I think it would be best to limit day trips, in any case. The train system is amazingly comprehensive, and allows for a lot of spontaneity (although actually, the bus is preferable for Siena).

I agree with the previous post. Florence has so much to see that taking too many day trips will be a disservice. I would definitely do Sienna one day and Pisa/Lucca on another day.

I’ve been to Bologna and to me, it isn’t worth the trip. With two teen boys, perhaps a visit to the Ferrari factory and museum or one of the other auto makers would appeal to them.

Maybe train to Lucca. The historic center is a small area ringed by thick walls that you can walk or bike ride around. There are bike rental places. The teen boys may enjoy this.

The days will be short in November and locations like Dolomites and CT not good choices-too far and weather dependent

Venice and Milan need more than a few hours also too far as a day trip IMO

Bologna is close enough but make sure you have something of interest there

Not sure about hot springs in November don’t think any are accessible by train

Stick with closer locations as mentioned above
Lucca, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano
