Help in Naples

I am flying into Naples then taking the bus to the main train station. I am just spending the afternoon there to go to the archaeological museum. I would like to check my bag at the train station. Does anyone have any info on this? Thanks in advance.

Yep, they're on the steet level....if you're talking about the central station on Garibaldi Square...otherwise no idea. You can walk from the station to the museum in about a half hour and it's fairly interesting if you cut through the neighborhoods instead of hiking the Carbonara main drag...just offset a block or two to the southwest.

Follow the Deposito Bagagli signs at the train station. It was easy to leave our bags there for several hours. The attendant took a photocopy of my passport to keep with the bags and identify us at the time of pick up. The attendant did not speak English but in my broken Italian I figured out that he was asking how long we planned to leave the bags. If you are short on time and want to take the Metro to the museum and walk back, it is easy to find the Metro right under the train station. Rick has detailed instructions on how to take the Metro to the museum and walk back through Naples to the train station.
