Any advice for hotels right outside Rome that would have parking and be within a good "day trip to Rome" distance? We have a rental car, so we don't want to drive anywhere near Rome, but would like to stay somewhere close enough to go into Rome for the day. Please don't suggest not having a rental car, long story, but we are not changing our mode of transportation :) Thanks

One of the couples with whom we shared a ride to the cruise port stayed at the Sheraton Golf Medici Hotel. I believe they used points for the room and were there for a couple of nights so I assume it isn't difficult to get into Rome. It looked nice when we stopped by to pick them up; they said they liked it. It's on Ron in Rome's list which Claudia posted the link to.
