My daughter will be studying abroad. Where will she purchase a flat iron for her hair? I know that she can buy duel voltage here in the US, but those do not work on her thick hair, plus it always smells like it's burning up!! This of course will be useful for me since I travel every year to europe. Thanks.

Can't help you with that specific request, but in case you don't get any good responses, leaving this for your daughter to figure out on her own once she gets there could be a good growing experience for her. Considering how important it is for many Italians to look good ("fare bella figura") she'll undoubtedly have lots of options. Best of luck.

I got a great flatiron for abut $100 at Germany's version of Super Walmart. It was a little more than I wanted to pay, but....there were cheaper ones too
