Here is my itinerary everyone: Jan 18, Rome 10 days!!...and then the travels begin!!Beginning Jan 28,2010, Naples 3 nites/Pompeii etc...then to Sorrento 3 nights. Here comes the stickler. On Feb 3 I "hope to" book a room at Capri. I can NOT find a place that is LOW cost there. ( For me...60-90/night or "less"). Is Capri shut down then? Then from Capri I actually already have successfully reserved a Hostel in Positano for 3 nights.The Hostel today wrote me back and said Positano is basically "shut down" then with NOTHING open..i.e. restaurants etc. Now what do I do?? I do not depart Rome until Feb 12...and I still would like to visit Ravello. I take photographs for exhibits. So wandering around in deserted streets could be a blessing. BUT....I still like some people around me, too. :) Does any of this make sense to you??? SOLUTION???: Should I stay longer in the more populated Sorrento and do "more day trips"??? and then maybe? move on to Amalfi so that I am closer to Ravello?? Anyone knnow about Amalfi in winter?? I seem to be hitting a LOT of hotels online that say "Sorry ..we have no rooms"..which I believe means "Sorry..we are CLOSED". LOL Is SIX DAYS IN SORRENTO over kill????? I am glad to hear from you all. And can even begin to email individually if allowed via this site. It is new to me...tho Rick is NOT new..and I worship him. ha ha....
So...February in the Amalfi coast for photography. HELP????
