HELP! cookies in Italy???

My family and I recently spent two weeks traveling around northern Italy and Rome. At all the gas stations, grocery stores and at the airport they sold these inexpensive cookies that my husband LOVED. they were in a red and white tube/package and they looked like oreos but 1/2 chocolate and 1/2 vanilla. He called then "rondos" but they weren't really called that, although the name was simalar. I can not find them ANYWHERE online and I have spend hours literally searching... Does anyone know what kind of cookies these are?? They were EVERYWHERE in Italy... PLEASE HELP!!

Thanks!
Alison

Were they called Ringo's. Just looked on the web and maybe this is what you are looking for.

You might check at Cost Plus/World Market if you have these stores in your town. They have things from all over the world. You can also check their website as well.

Ballerina cookies are Swedish made with a chocolate HAZELNUT filling. (You can get these at Cost Plus/World Market.)

Ringo cookies are Italian made with either a vanilla or chocolate filling--no hazelnut. I have yet to see them in any chain store in the U.S.
