By early next week Rome could reach as high as 107°F.

And the overnight temps will be in the mid 70s.....
9AM local time today it was already 91.
There's another name for high temperatures....it's called "Rome in July."
I vividly remember Rome in July carrying my 2-year-old daughter on my back and sweating through my clothes. Next time we go it ain't gonna be in the summer.
This is not just an ordinary hot summer day in Rome. A red alert had been issued for temps in Rome and numerous other Italian cities. There's a chance a new European heat record will be set. To add to the merriment, a warning of poor air quality has been issued due to dust from the Sahara.

It's literally worldwide. Record average high temps of the entire planet were set and reset last week.
This is not the typical "Rome in July" ... almost 20°F higher than the norm.
