On this tour do you stay in the cinque terre, or in the outskirts/Italian riviera? Thanks!

I just returned from a Heart of Italy tour and it was wonderful. We stayed 2 nights in Monterosso with the group split between 2 hotels, the Pasquale and Villa Steno. They are owned by the same family. Papa makes fresh croissant daily for breakfast and Mama makes lemon and orange marmalades.

On my Village tour of Italy a few years back we stayed in Levanto, but it wasn't a problem as it was a quick train ride to the 5 villages. Levanto has a real beach and is a lovely little town.
