Heart of Italy in 9 Days Tour | Hotels?

I know they don't tell you what hotels you're staying in until later...but if you have done this tour previously, where did you stay and did you like the accommodations?

I have a family of four (2 adults, and 2 teens)

They let you know your first and last hotel when you sign up. You might want to take a look at the scrapbooks for this tour to see some of the past hotels knowing that RS tours don’t always stay in the same ones.

It's been 12 years since I did it so some of the hotels are possibly the same, some may be different. I enjoyed all the hotels as they were well located. I traveled with my brother, SIL and their 2 young adult sons. We had the boys in a separate room, I had a single room and my brother and SIL were in the same room.

The hotels:

Rome - Hotel Sonya (The staff here were so kind. My SIL was ill to begin with and they were so accommodating!). We stayed the first couple of nights at a nearby hotel which I think Rick also uses. It's changed names but I liked it as well. It's now the Dharma Style just a block or so away.

Volterra - Hotel La Locanda
Monterosso al Mare (Cinque Terre) - Group split between Hotel Pasquale and Hotel Villa Steno. Both owned by the same family. (I know Rick still uses this combo for some tours as I stayed in Pasquale on the Best of Italy trip in 2022)
Florence - Hotel Accademia - I was also in this hotel on the Best of Italy. I know he uses other hotels in Florence so not sure if this will be yours or not.

I highly recommend you arrive a day or two early to Rome. The tours' 2 nights in Rome is just not enough as there is so much to see and it's pretty easy to get around. I walked everywhere with my nephews...in fact they walked my legs off, hahaha! This tour is the perfect length with teens/young adults and has enough free time in CT so they can do hiking on their own.
