Have you used the Firenze card?

We are taking our first trip to Italy in June. We only have 3 days in Florence . I've been reading a lot about the pros and cons of the Firenze card. I'm leaning towards it as a good way to avoid waiting in lines....can some of you out there who have used the card let me know of your experiences with it?
thanks!

I had it for a 3 day stay and it worked very well. It is a bit pricey though. If you are a small party it makes sense. I had 5 people in my party and the cost added up. If you are a large party there is another card, can't remember the name that is a pretty good value. It was a year membership to a museum group for a family that gave you similar benefits as the Firenze card. Someone may read my post and figure it out.

thanks, John - there's only 2 of us... did it cover the museums you wanted to see (besides Uffizi and Accademia)
I know we'll go to them - that's 30e already....

I think John might be thinking of Friends of the Uffizi (Amici degli Uffizi, or something like that; not their US counterpart). That's what I did and it worked really well. Covered all the state museums and some other sites. You might want to check the cost of family membership.
