What is a small group tour size? The RS 14-day Village Italy Tour of 24 members?

To clarify, my interest is in half-day or 1-day walking tours. I'm traveling on my own, Wondering if anyone has used Select Italy.

I don't believe Select Italy offers tours themselves (please correct me if I am wrong), they are a middle man for tours. If you book direct you with a company you will pay less. Select Italy offers a one-stop, easy way to plan your trip - but you'll pay for the convenience. For example you can purchase Vatican Museum tickets directly through the Vatican for 15 euro per person, but if you use Select Italy the price is $37 (28 euro). Rick recommends several tour companies in his book, including Context Rome and Through Eternity.

Full Disclaimer: I'm an Employee of the company mentioned in the thread. Hi there, I would like to answer some of the questions above, while trying to comply with the guidelines. I would like to point out that all of the private and "join a small group" tours in SI's portfolio are offered with our own guides, therefore the claim made by SamSn is not always true. The size of a small group tour is between 4 and 8 people. I would also like to add that our company has been recommended by Rick Steves in his Italy travel books. Have a great time in Italy! Andrea G.
