Have eurail Italy pass - how to buy reservations???

This is probably too late to help you out, the message was posted in the middle of the night here. Just go to the train station and do this there, especially since you want it for later in the day.

thanks - wasn't thinking about the time. I know I saw a way to do it online when we were still in the states.
Had a bad experience at the local train station - but made it to Bologna and a wonderfully helpful ticket agent was able to book the rest of our trip for us. whew...

And for anyone else who reads this post, railpasses are almost never a good bargain for travel within Italy. Point-to-point tickets will almost always save you money.

Michael - totally agree. Italy railpass not a good idea. I purchased it at Europe thru the Backdoor before doing my research.
