Has the 9/25-9/26 transportation strike been lifted?

Hi, Giangilberto from Milan, so what you posted is the only official Italian source regarding strikes because it comes from the Ministry of Transport, so if the proclamation no longer appears in the MIT register, it most likely means that it has been revoked.
I just checked the website, and there's no strike listed for September 26th.
A small clarification: "revoked" and "no longer scheduled" are not formally the same thing, and for a ferry, that matters. The register collects the announcements, and operational confirmation is provided by the company, which communicates which trips it operates.
There are several companies that cover the same route, Caremar, SNAV, and Alilauro, and in the event of a strike, each communicates separately which trips are guaranteed. Therefore, the source to look at isn't generic: it's the operator with whom you hold the ticket.

Law 146/90, which regulates strikes in Italy and therefore also the guaranteed essential services, states this:

Article 1, paragraph 2, letter b, includes among essential services "urban and extra-urban public transport, including road, rail and tramway transport, air, airport, and maritime transport, limited to connections with the islands."
So the connection with the islands is expressly an essential service.

And Article 3 states the consequences: companies are required to guarantee, in agreement with the unions, the services essential for the movement of people and the supply of goods—notifying users accordingly.
The law requires each provider to disclose the services guaranteed.
The advice is, if the strike is re-proclaimed or if it reappears on the ministry's website, to check the company you purchased your ticket with, not a generic source.

Thank you for that information. So is there a possibility that the strike could be "re-proclaimed", in other words, put back on the schedule? Are we better off to just move our travel to Friday so we don't have to worry about disruptions on Saturday?

Law 146/90 establishes a very specific rule: a new announcement requires at least ten days notice, and the operator must inform the public at least five days in advance.
It's september 3rd, your trip is on the 26th.
You have 23 days left, technically, they have time to re-announce it.
So the honest answer is: yes, it's possible, but if it happened, you'd know at least ten days in advance.
You wouldn't wake up on the morning of the 26th with a big surprise.
Practical advice: there's no point in moving now. You need to recheck the register between september 10th and 15th.
If there's nothing at that point, the 26th is safe, because a announcement made after the 16th would no longer be able to honor the notice period.
Finally, if moving to friday is cheap, with a free ticket change and flexible hotel, do it anyway to be on the safe side. If it costs you, for now, it's not worth it.

I wanted to add an update for anyone traveling on the 26th. I emailed the Ministry of Transportation regarding the strike on the 26th. Their response was that the strike has been postponed to October 2. Good news (if you're not traveling on Oct 2!).

"Buongiorno, esattamente. Lo sciopero inizialmente previsto per il giorno 26 settembre p.v. è stato posticipato al 2 ottobre p.v.."
