Has anyone used Destination Europe to book trip to Italy?

I am currently working with this company to help me quote out a 10-day trip to Italy. So far, they have been very helpful and responsive, but I wanted to see if any of you have used them before and if so, what your experience was. They currently have us staying • 3 nights Moderate Class hotel accommodations in Rome, Italy; One Anna Suite with private facilities and breakfast daily - Romeo Al Babuino • 2 nights Moderate Class hotel accommodations in Montepulciano, Italy; One Double Room with private facilities and breakfast daily - La Locanda Del Vino Nobile • 3 nights Moderate Class hotel accommodations in Monterosso, Italy; One Deluxe Double Room w/ Sea View with private facilities and breakfast daily - La Casa Dei Limoni
• 2 nights Moderate Class hotel accommodations in Venice, Italy; One Superior Double Room w/ Grande Canal View with private facilities and breakfast daily - Abbazia De Luxe We are removing the Cinque Terre portion and are in the process of deciding what to do with those nights, but have any of you stayed in any of the establishments listed above and do you have feedback?

Is there some reason you can't email or call these hotels directly to book them on your own...without a middleman to jack up your price? Sounds like another Travel Agency lying in wait to make some commission. Book you own airfare and hotels and do it yourself. You can easily look up each of those hotels on www.tripadvisor.com and read countless reviews on them. It's really not that difficult and you'll be pleased with yourself for having a better time AND saving yourself money.

I have to wholeheartedly agree with Tim. If you absolutely have to use a travel agent, check out their lodging recomedations on Trip Advsior. Absolultely go directly to the hotels website, and compare pricing. You can also go thru the TA top lodging recomendations and see if one of them does a better job suiting your needs. The whole idea is to expose yourself to lots of info, and then make your decisions.
