Has anyone toured with Presto Tours? Avoid Queuing?

I have seen some great reviews on TripAdvisor/Frommers and it looks like this tour company has a well respected group of tour guides who speak english well. They also mention that they can avoid the long lines at the Vatican. Is this true? Has anyone had the chance to tour with them. I am going to be in Rome very soon for a short period of time and i cannot afford to wait in line for 2 hours. I am looking to book asap, but do not want to make any mistakes..

As mentioned in a number of other posts on this site, longer hours at the Vatican have all but eliminated the long lines. Chances are, you wouldn't need the tour to avoid the lines.

However, since you are on such a tight timeframe (and the tours are nice in other ways), you may still want to take a tour. Presto is one of the ones that has a good reputation on this site. Use the search box in the upper right corner to look for previous posts discussing Presto Tours.

I saw the same reviews on Tripadvisor and booked the VIP no-tour tickets for 29 Euro apiece. The confirmation response was immediate and contained all the info you need...including not only a map but a photograph (with arrow) "meet here". We figured for another 15 euro it is worth it not to have to fret. On a trip like this, even my time is worth money. We chose a Monday as I expect the Vatican may be busier due to other sights' closures. Good luck.
