Hi, does anyone have recent (or any) experience of staying in Porto Ceresio just opposite Morcote on the other side of the lake, especially for longer than a week?
We loved Ascona and Cannobio (Lake Maggiore) and although this town/village is not quite as large or touristy by all accounts, does it have much charm and plenty to do on foot (no car)?
Have read tons of reviews of various accomm here to get a feel for the place, and it seems popular enough as a base. Seeking your experience please of fun things you've done nearby and great local walks (not hikes!).
