I’ve stayed several times in Hotel Aberdeen. It’s a great place to stay, with a location within walking distance of downtown Rome and also within walking distance of the train station I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Yes, several times and will do so again, if I have the chance. Nothing fancy, but decent, clean rooms, nice breakfast, great staff. Located in vicinity of the train station and close to a metro station, although I generally walk in Rome.

It's where we always stay. What questions do you have? The staff members are friendly and helpful, the rooms are small but clean, and the breakfast is good.

It's in walking distance from Termini train station, as well as major bus and metro stops. Although it's near busy areas, it's on a quiet side street.

What else would you like to know?

Stayed there in 2015, part of a RS tour. It was very basic. We had a room over the big metal entrance gate, with a window opening to the courtyard . The gate clanged all night long, and motorcycles were very noisy parking in the courtyard. There was no air flow in the room, in April. Hopefully it has been renovated; if not, don't accept a room over the inner courtyard.
My daughter had a singles room that was much nicer than ours. Breakfast was good, along with the location.
Safe travels!

Yes, I’ve stayed there. Once in a single room and once in a double. Both were basic, clean, no issues. Good breakfast. The staff was great and very helpful. I like being in walking distance to Termini, but also walked many other places from there-colosseum, Pantheon, Piazza Navona and more. I would stay there again.

We stayed there with the RS Tour in 2017. We were “assigned” a room on the ground floor facing an interior courtyard (probably the same location as Pat), bars on window, smelled musty. Since we were going to be at that hotel 4 nights total (2 with tour; 2 on own), I knew I couldn’t stay in that room, so we asked if we could please have another room. Thankfully, another room was available on one of the higher floors. New room was fine; adequate.
Location was great. We walked to many of the popular sites as well as the train station upon departure.

Yes, I've stayed at Hotel Aberdeen and agree with the others that it was clean, comfortable and had a nice breakfast. I haven't been there for a few years but hopefully everything will be the same.

I'll jump on the pile - stayed there several times and found it great. Very convenient if going back and forth to Termini. Very quiet street. However, my last several times to Rome, I stayed in different areas, just to change things up :-).

I have emailed them in June about reserving a night before our tour next April. I recieved an automatic reply that said I would hear from them soon with a confirmation and never did. I guess I should follow up and make sure we have a room!

A better question ---- Who hasn't stayed in Hotel Aberdeen? A lot of people, including ourselves twice, have stayed there since it has been recommended by Steves for 20 years or more and used frequently by Rick's tours. Typical Rick Steve's recommended hotel. A couple of nice restaurants especially Target around the corner. In the same area we have also used Hotel Sonya several times. It is another frequently used tour hotel by Steves, across from the Opera house and a block or so closer to Termini. Wife believes Sonya's lattes are better. If they are it is a small difference.
