My parents-in-law were in Venice a few weeks ago when they ran into a backpacker who told them that he was staying at a hostel called "The Vatican" and that it was pretty nice. It was supposed to be pretty central to everything. I am backpacking in Italy in May and am probably going to Venice for a day or two, and cannot find anything about that hostel online. Part of the problem is search engines bring up references to the actual Vatican instead of any hostel. I also didn't find them listed on any websites for booking hostels, like hostelworld.
If anyone has a link to a website, or even just where they are located, that would be great, and also if anyone has any other information on it, like whether it is a youth hostel or for a certain sex only (example, there was a hostel that I came across in Venice that was for guys only, and I'm a girl so that won't work).
