has anyone had issues with venice connected

I went to place an order for the vaparetto pass and after going through everything it came up with an error page. I tried later and same thing happened.
Next morning (like 10 hours later) there two confirmation emails for orders.
I emailed them and told them what happened and that I did not think the charge went through, and asked them to void one of the orders, that was yesterday morning. I still have not heard anythign so I emailed them again but this time using google translate and putting it in italian.

Have not had experience with them, but in my general experience with Italy, they like paper, a lot. Real paper somehow has a formality to it, especially for something like a refund. I'd send a letter by snail mail or FAX too, indicating the problem. And asking to hav the extra charge removed. Also, been to Venice a few times, one winter and one the heart of summer, and there really isn't any reason to ever book a vaparetto pass in advance...again, at least in my experience. In fact, purchasing it from the window offers a relatively easy opportunity to practice a little tourist Italiano! (:

I agree; vaporetto passes are a quick-buy in Venice. I didn't bother with ANY online reservation systems of any sort when I went. I asked my hotels/bed and breakfasts to make reservations for my museums; they sent me confirmation codes which I showed to the museums on arrival (and paid upon arrival).
I couldn't make the trenitalia site work with my credit card, and found that it doesn't work online for the most part. So again, bought those in person.
Also reserved hotels, etc, directly through each place's website; I didn't use a second party to reserve rooms.
As for the apparent extra charge... yes, send a snail mail, and if you're brave, call the number that should be on the site. tell them (here's the phonetic pronunciation) "Nohn PAR-loh ee-tahl-ee-AH-no. PAR-lah een-GLEH-seh? Oh oon pro-BLEH-mah cone eel SOO-oh SEE-toh" ("I don't speak Italian. Do you speak English? I have a problem with your website.") (and remember that Italy is 9 hours ahead of us...) Good luck!
