I was wondering about taking U.S. Airways or Delta to Venice and back from Rome. Would appreciate any feedback or recommendations. Ruth

First, I think most of the airlines are the same. At one time we favored the foreign airlines but their service level is following the American model. We have flown Delta on our last couple of trips and generally favor Delta or United for US carried. After a really bad experience with US Air (Phil/Rome), is on our never fly list - probably a little unfair. I would choice Lufthansa over BA since BA started charging for advance seat reservations. At this point, I would go with schedule convenience and price. They are all about the same.
