My family who loves history and archeology recently discovered this interesting activity while researching for our trip through Tuscany next year. Coming from Massachusetts and knowing Plymouth Plantation it looks interesting.
Ahhh - I love places like that, too. I've also visited Plymouth Plantation, and the Frontier Culture Museum in Staunton, VA. I would visit the Archeodromo in a heartbeat.
I did a bit of looking around online - it appears that, although you can go look around any time, there is only formal admission on Sundays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (presumably with people playing people from the distant past). Is that the impression you got, too?
Yes, that's what I understood from their website. Looking to fit it in maybe during our 4 days in Tuscany. Interesting but not a big loss if we can't. I'm still researching how far from our home base it is and if it's anywhere near our other destinations on that Sunday. Looks like it would take up an hour. I contacted them about any english speaking guides and will post my findings.
