I will be in Florence in early June and am looking to try a few new restaurants. My travel partner suggested Il Santo Bevitore based on some positive reviews she had seen. The owner of the apartment we are renting has heard of it (positive) but has never eaten there.
Has anyone tried this restaurant? If so, what do you think?

I think this is a great forum for many questions, but you are better off looking at TripAdvisor reviews sorted by date for this information. Pay attention to the number and quality of reviews of Italian restaurants by each reviewer as some of the writers may not be experienced with Italian food. I find it illuminating to read the reviews left by Italian diners as they can sometime have a very different viewpoint.
Yes, I have looked at TripAdvisor. My daughter lives in Italy and she checked with her friend who lives in Florence who has also heard good things about this restaurant (which is listed in Rick's guide).
I did not think to look for reviews by Italians, though -- that is actually a great idea, so I will go back through the TripAdvisor reviews.
