I will be in Venice this August and would like to purchase a few modern glass items as gifts. I found a store called Elle Elle Murano on line and they seem to have the type of items I'm looking for. Has anyone purchased from them? I'm curious as to what their prices are like. Or, can you suggest any other stores that sell more modern pieces? I'm just looking for small votive holders or small vases, etc.

I visited Murano recently, and note that some of the shops there haven't changed much, while some come and go. There is always at least one which is doing more modern glass pieces. There is also, in Venice proper, on the way to the Peggy Guggenheim house, along that pathway, a shop you might be interested in. When you're in Murano, it's such a small perimeter to see all the shops, so you will find something. Just enjoy the browsing!
